Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Baked Chocolate Donuts Delight.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease the donut pans thoroughly.
Step 2
In a large bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, white sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Step 3
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the milk, beaten egg, melted butter, vegetable oil, and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until smooth. Pour this mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined; do not overmix.
Step 4
Spoon the batter into the prepared donut pans, filling each well about 3/4 full to allow for rising.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the donuts cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before tapping them out onto a wire rack.
Step 6
To make the glaze, combine the confectioners' sugar, hot water, and the remaining vanilla extract in a bowl. Mix until smooth, adding more hot water if necessary to achieve your desired consistency.
Step 7
Place parchment paper under a wire cooling rack. Transfer the cooled donuts to the rack and dip them in the glaze, allowing any excess to drip onto the parchment paper. For a thicker coating, repeat the glazing process.
