Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Cherry Cheesecake Brownie Swirls.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese, 1/2 cup of sugar, 3 tablespoons of flour, 1 egg, and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
Step 3
In a separate large bowl, combine 1 cup of sugar, 1/2 cup of flour, 1/3 cup of cocoa powder, 1/4 cup of black onyx cocoa powder, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder.
Step 4
In another bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup of oil, 1 egg, 1/4 cup of corn syrup, and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract until well combined.
Step 5
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Step 6
Spread 3/4 of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan evenly.
Step 7
Fold 1/4 cup of chopped morello cherries into the remaining brownie batter in the bowl, then spread this mixture over the layer in the pan.
Step 8
Arrange the remaining cherries on top of the brownie batter in a single layer.
Step 9
Pour the cream cheese filling over the cherries, then dollop the remaining brownie batter on top of the cream cheese layer.
Step 10
Use a knife to gently swirl the layers together, creating a marbled effect.
Step 11
Bake in the preheated oven for 25 to 27 minutes, or until the top is dry and the edges start to pull away from the sides of the pan. A toothpick inserted into the center should come out clean.
Step 12
Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
