Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Chocolate Cinnamon Loaf Bread.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two 9x5-inch loaf pans and line the bottoms with parchment paper for easy removal.
Step 2
In a medium bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, water, and vanilla extract.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened butter and sugar. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is light and creamy, about 5 minutes. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated.
Step 4
Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the buttermilk mixture. Mix briefly after each addition until just combined. Do not overmix.
Step 5
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared loaf pans.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the loaves to cool in the pans for 5 minutes before running a knife around the edges to loosen them. Carefully invert the loaves onto a wire rack or serving plate and let them cool completely.
