Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Chocolate Cinnamon Sugar Cookies.
Step 1
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, unsweetened chocolate, and milk chocolate. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring after each, until the butter is melted and the chocolate is smooth, about 2 minutes total.
Step 2
Once melted, stir in 1/2 cup of white sugar and the brown sugar until well combined. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
Step 3
In a separate large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the chocolate mixture to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
Step 4
Cover the dough and refrigerate for 30 minutes to firm up.
Step 5
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the remaining 1/4 cup of white sugar in a shallow bowl.
Step 6
Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Roll it into 1-inch balls, kneading the dough if it feels too firm. Roll each ball in the sugar and place them 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass or spatula.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the cookies are set. Allow them to cool on wire racks before serving.
