Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease and flour an 8 1/2x11-inch butterfly-shaped cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and butter. Beat with an electric mixer until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
