Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Dark Chocolate Orange Mascarpone Tart.
Step 1
In a food processor, combine the flour, butter, cocoa powder, and confectioners' sugar. Pulse until the mixture resembles fine crumbs.
Step 2
Add the egg to the mixture and blend briefly until the dough comes together.
Step 3
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough using a floured rolling pin. Transfer it to an 8-inch tart pan with a removable bottom. Prick the pastry liberally with a fork and chill for 1 hour.
Step 4
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) while the crust chills.
Step 5
Bake the crust in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack. Lower the oven temperature to 300°F (150°C).
Step 6
Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler for about 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 7
In a bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, egg, and sugar together with an electric mixer until smooth. Stir in the melted chocolate and orange liqueur until well combined.
Step 8
Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes, or until set. Allow to cool before serving.
