Step 1
Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan.
Step 2
In a medium saucepan, combine the white sugar, margarine, evaporated milk, and a pinch of salt. Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches a full rolling boil.

Once boiling, continue to cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture reaches 234°F (112°C) on a candy thermometer.
Step 4
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the marshmallow cream, semisweet chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and vanilla extract. Mix until everything is well combined and smooth.
Step 5
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly. Refrigerate until firm, about 2-3 hours.
