Step 1
Start by preheating your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). While it warms up, grab a 9x13 inch baking pan and grease it well to ensure your bars come out easily after baking.

In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter and white sugar using an electric mixer until the mixture is light and fluffy. This should take about 2-3 minutes. Next, add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until everything is well combined.

Now, stir in the mashed bananas, making sure they are evenly incorporated into the mixture. Set this banana mixture aside for a moment.
