Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Decadent Coffee Brownies.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Step 2
In a medium bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, salt, and baking soda. Set this mixture aside.
Step 3
Melt the unsweetened chocolate squares in the top of a double boiler over simmering water, stirring frequently until smooth, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
Step 4
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter using an electric mixer. Gradually add the white sugar and dark brown sugar, mixing until well combined.
Step 5
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then, stir in the coffee-flavored liqueur, vanilla extract, melted chocolate, and instant coffee granules until fully incorporated.
Step 6
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the semisweet chocolate morsels, walnuts, and pecans until evenly distributed.
Step 7
Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x12-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Step 8
Bake in the preheated oven for about 25 minutes, or until the top is dry and the edges start to pull away from the sides of the pan.
Step 9
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 20 minutes before spreading the dark chocolate frosting on top.
