Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Decadent S'more Pie.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, sugar, and salt. Mix well and press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
Step 3
In another large bowl, mix together graham cracker crumbs, condensed milk, chocolate chips, baking powder, and salt until fully combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
Step 4
Bake the pie in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the top appears dry. Once done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly. Increase the oven temperature to 425°F (220°C).
Step 5
While the pie cools, prepare the chocolate custard. In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt. Gradually add in the milk while whisking. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens (about 5 to 7 minutes). Lower the heat to medium-low and continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes. Slowly stir in the beaten eggs and cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat and mix in vanilla extract.
Step 6
Pour the chocolate custard over the baked pie. Arrange regular marshmallows on top and sprinkle miniature marshmallows in between to fill any gaps.
Step 7
Bake the pie for about 5 minutes, or until the marshmallows are lightly browned. Keep a close eye on them to prevent melting.
Step 8
For the chocolate ganache, place the heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl and heat it in the microwave until hot (about 45 seconds to 1 minute). Stir in the chocolate, butter, and coffee granules. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds, then stir until smooth. Allow it to sit for 15 to 20 minutes to thicken.
Step 9
Drizzle the chocolate ganache over the cooled pie before serving.
