Start by placing your sliced cooking apples into a slow cooker. Set it to high and let the apples cook, stirring occasionally, until they become soft and break down, which should take about 3 hours. This is where the magic begins!

Once the apples are nice and tender, it's time to add in the fresh blueberries, sugar, and all those wonderful spices: cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and cloves. Stir everything together until well combined, and then lower the temperature to low. Let it simmer for about 8 hours, stirring often. While your apple butter is cooking, prepare your canning jars. Sterilize them and their lids by boiling them in water for at least 5 minutes. This step is crucial for preserving your delicious creation!
