Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Delicious Cinnamon Crown Rolls.
Step 1
Start by dissolving the active dry yeast in warm water in a large mixing bowl. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until it becomes creamy and frothy. While that’s happening, lightly grease another large mixing bowl and set it aside for later use.
Step 2
In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and 1/2 cup of butter. Stir in 1/2 cup of white sugar and the salt until everything is well mixed. Once it’s heated through, remove it from the heat and allow it to cool to room temperature.
Step 3
Once the milk mixture has cooled, stir it into the yeast mixture until well blended. Next, mix in the beaten eggs, and gradually add the flour, one cup at a time, until you have a soft dough.
Step 4
Turn the dough out onto a clean, lightly floured surface and knead it for about 10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic. Place the dough in the greased bowl, turning it to coat the surface. Cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size, which should take about 1 to 2 hours.
Step 5
While the dough is rising, prepare a 9-inch tube pan by greasing it lightly. For the syrup, mix 1/3 cup of butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup in a small pan over medium heat. Stir until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves, then pour this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared tube pan.
Step 6
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a lightly floured surface. Cover it with a clean cloth and let it rest for 10 minutes.
Step 7
In the meantime, prepare the topping by mixing 3/4 cup of white sugar with cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Pour 1/4 cup of melted butter into another bowl for dipping.
Step 8
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Now, divide the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball first in the melted butter, then in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Arrange the coated balls side by side around the bottom of the tube pan. Cover them with a cloth and let them rise in a warm place until they double in size again, which should take about 1 hour. Drizzle 1 tablespoon of heavy cream over each ball before baking.
Step 9
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven until the tops are golden brown, about 45 to 55 minutes. Once baked, remove the pan from the oven and immediately invert it onto a large serving plate to release the rolls.
