Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make German Chocolate Brownie Delight.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 325ยฐF (165ยฐC) and grease an 8- or 9-inch square glass baking pan.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
Step 3
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Once melted, add the broken pieces of sweet baking chocolate and stir until fully melted. Remove from heat and let it cool for at least 10 minutes.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, combine the cooled chocolate mixture with the sugar and vanilla extract. Mix well, then add the beaten eggs and stir until fully incorporated.
Step 5
Gradually add the flour mixture to the chocolate mixture, stirring until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 30 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the center comes out clean. Once baked, remove from the oven and switch the oven to broil.
Step 7
For the topping, mix together brown sugar, melted butter, corn syrup, and milk in a bowl. Stir in the coconut and pecans until well combined. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the warm brownies and gently spread it out.
Step 8
Broil the brownies for 1 to 2 minutes, keeping a close eye on them until the topping is bubbly and golden.
Step 9
Allow the brownies to cool for at least 1 hour before slicing and serving.
