Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Chocolate Glazed Donuts.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) and lightly spray 11 donut cups with cooking spray.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
Step 3
Add 3/4 cup of milk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Use an electric mixer to beat the mixture until it is well combined and smooth.
Step 4
Transfer the batter into a zip-top bag and cut off one corner. Use this bag to fill each donut cup about 3/4 full with the batter.
Step 5
Bake the donuts in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into a donut comes out clean. Allow them to cool in the pan for 5 to 10 minutes before removing them.
Step 6
While the donuts are cooling, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, combine 1/4 cup of butter, cream, milk, corn syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until the butter is completely melted, about 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 7
Reduce the heat to low and add the bittersweet and semisweet chocolate to the saucepan. Stir until the chocolate is melted and the mixture is smooth, about 2 to 3 minutes more. Remove from heat and whisk in powdered sugar until well combined.
Step 8
Once the donuts have cooled, dip each one into the glaze and allow them to set on a wire rack for about 15 minutes.
