Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Grilled Cassava Pizza Crust.
Step 1
Begin by preheating your grill to a medium heat and giving the grate a light coating of coconut oil cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Step 2
In a measuring cup, mix lukewarm water, coconut sugar, and active dry yeast, allowing it to sit for about five minutes until the yeast softens and develops a creamy foam.
Step 3
Next, incorporate avocado oil, salt, and optional Italian seasoning into the yeast mixture, stirring until everything is well blended.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, combine cassava flour, arrowroot powder, and gelatin.
Step 5
Gradually pour the yeast mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing with a wooden spoon until fully integrated.
Step 6
If the dough feels too sticky, add cassava flour one tablespoon at a time until it reaches a manageable consistency.
Step 7
Divide the dough into four equal portions, kneading each into a ball.
Step 8
On a piece of parchment paper dusted with arrowroot powder, place one dough ball, sprinkle the top with more arrowroot powder, cover with another parchment sheet, and roll it out into a 4-inch pizza crust.
Step 9
Repeat this for the remaining dough balls.
Step 10
Once rolled, peel off the top parchment layer, lightly grease the top of each crust with coconut cooking spray, then flip them over so the greased side is down on the grill.
Step 11
Grill for about seven minutes, or until the crusts turn a beautiful golden brown.
Step 12
Enjoy the delightful aroma as your homemade pizza crusts cook to perfection!.
