Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Hawaiian Beef Sliders with Pineapple Slaw Mix.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC) and line a 12x18-inch sheet pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a small food processor, pulse the chopped red and green bell peppers along with the red onion until finely chopped. Transfer the mixture to a large mixing bowl and add the minced garlic.
Step 3
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the liquid smoke, low-sodium soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and egg until well combined. Stir in the dry bread crumbs until they are moistened, then add this mixture to the bowl with the vegetables.
Step 4
Add the ground beef to the vegetable mixture and season with salt and pepper. Mix everything together using your hands until fully combined.
Step 5
Shape the beef mixture into twelve 3-inch patties and place them evenly on the prepared sheet pan.
Step 6
Bake the patties in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.
Step 7
While the patties are baking, prepare the pineapple slaw. Drain the pineapple tidbits, reserving 1 tablespoon of the juice. In a salad bowl, combine the pineapple tidbits, shredded cabbage, and sliced green onions.
Step 8
In a separate bowl, mix together the mayonnaise, rice vinegar, reserved pineapple juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper to create the dressing. Toss the slaw with the dressing until well coated.
Step 9
Once the patties are cooked, slice the Hawaiian bread rolls horizontally. Place a beef patty on each bottom half, add 2 to 3 tablespoons of the pineapple slaw, and top with the other half of the roll. Secure each slider with a toothpick and garnish with a pineapple chunk.
