Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).

In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, confectioners' sugar, and cornstarch. Mix well until evenly combined.

Add the softened butter and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until a soft dough forms.

Shape the dough into 36 small balls. Place each ball into an ungreased mini muffin cup, pressing lightly to form a crust on the bottom and up the sides.

Spoon 1 teaspoon of pineapple preserves into each crust, followed by a sprinkle of 1 teaspoon of macadamia nuts over the preserves.
