Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Honey Butter Rolls.
Step 1
In a microwave-safe bowl, blend whole milk with brown and white sugars.
Step 2
Heat this mixture in the microwave for 40 to 50 seconds until it’s warm, then stir in the active dry yeast until fully dissolved.
Step 3
In another bowl, whisk together 6 tablespoons of melted butter and an egg, then incorporate this into the warm milk mixture, whisking gently for about 30 to 60 seconds until just combined.
Step 4
Gradually add all-purpose flour, half a cup at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition until the dough becomes smooth and slightly sticky.
Step 5
Transfer the dough to a greased bowl, cover it loosely, and let it rise in a warm, dry spot until it doubles in size, which should take around an hour.
Step 6
Once the dough has risen, place it on a floured surface, drizzle with honey, and sprinkle with salt.
Step 7
Fold the dough in half, repeating the drizzling and folding process 5 to 6 times to infuse it with flavor.
Step 8
Roll the dough into a rectangle about half an inch thick and cut it into 12 equal pieces using a pizza cutter.
Step 9
Arrange the rolls on lightly greased 9x13-inch baking pans or sheets, cover them with a light cloth, and allow them to rise again until they double in size, approximately 45 minutes to an hour.
Step 10
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 11
Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 11 to 14 minutes, or until the tops turn a beautiful golden brown.
Step 12
As soon as they come out of the oven, brush the remaining half tablespoon of melted butter and a drizzle of honey over the warm rolls for a delightful finish.
Step 13
Enjoy the sweet aroma and the soft, fluffy texture of these homemade rolls that are sure to impress!.
