Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Instant Pot White Bean Soup with Prosciutto.
Step 1
To create a delicious and hearty soup in your Instant Pot®, start by pouring in the chicken broth.
Step 2
Next, add the rinsed Great Northern beans, diced onion, minced garlic, bay leaves, and a splash of olive oil.
Step 3
Once everything is in, securely close and lock the lid of your Instant Pot.
Step 4
Select the high-pressure setting and set the timer for 25 minutes, allowing about 10 to 15 minutes for the pressure to build up.
Step 5
When the timer goes off, it’s time for a little excitement! Carefully release the pressure using the quick-release method, which should take around 5 minutes.
Step 6
Once the pressure is fully released, unlock and lift the lid to reveal the fragrant mixture inside.
Step 7
Now, stir in the sliced carrots, chopped celery, and diced prosciutto.
Step 8
If you like your soup a bit more brothy, don’t hesitate to add extra chicken broth at this point.
Step 9
Close and lock the lid again, select the high-pressure setting, and set the timer for another 10 minutes, giving it another 10 to 15 minutes to build pressure.
Step 10
After this second round of cooking, release the pressure once more using the quick-release method, which will take about 5 minutes.
Step 11
When it’s safe to do so, unlock and remove the lid.
Step 12
Now it’s time to season your soup! Add salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste, adjusting it to your preference.
Step 13
Serve the warm, comforting soup in individual bowls and finish with a sprinkle of minced fresh parsley for a pop of color and flavor.
Step 14
Enjoy every spoonful of this delightful dish that’s perfect for any occasion!.
