Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Instant Pot Spinach and Egg White Frittata.
Step 1
Start by powering on your Instant Pot and selecting the 'Sauté' function.
Step 2
Drizzle in some olive oil and let it heat up.
Step 3
Once the oil is shimmering, toss in the chopped onion and sauté it until it becomes soft and translucent, which should take about three minutes.
Step 4
Next, add the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds, just until it becomes fragrant and fills your kitchen with a delightful aroma.
Step 5
When that’s done, cancel the 'Sauté' mode and transfer the onion and garlic mixture to a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
Step 6
Give the pot a moment to cool down before you clean it.
Step 7
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg whites and heavy cream until they’re beautifully combined.
Step 8
Then, stir in the chopped spinach, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder, ensuring everything is evenly mixed.
Step 9
Don’t forget to fold in the reserved onion and garlic mixture, blending it all together for a burst of flavor in every bite.
Step 10
Now, pour one cup of water into the bottom of your Instant Pot and place a steamer rack or trivet inside.
Step 11
Grab a heat-proof dish or soufflé dish and lightly spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
Step 12
Pour your egg mixture into this prepared dish and cover it loosely with aluminum foil to keep it moist while cooking.
Step 13
Carefully set the dish on top of the trivet in the Instant Pot.
Step 14
Close and lock the lid, then select 'High Pressure' and set the timer for 30 minutes.
Step 15
As the pot heats up, it will take about six to seven minutes for the pressure to build, so take a moment to enjoy the anticipation of a delicious meal.
Step 16
Once the cooking time is up, let the pressure release naturally for about 10 minutes.
Step 17
After that, carefully use the quick-release method to let out any remaining pressure, which should take around five minutes.
Step 18
When it’s safe to do so, unlock and remove the lid, and gently peel off the foil from your frittata.
Step 19
If there’s any excess liquid, pour it off before slicing into your beautifully cooked dish.
Step 20
Serve it warm and enjoy every flavorful bite!.
