Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Jack Daniel's® Chocolate Fudge.
Step 1
Start by pouring whiskey into a small bowl and adding the pecan halves.
Step 2
Let them soak for about three hours, allowing the nuts to soak up that rich flavor.
Step 3
While the pecans are soaking, prepare your 8-inch square pan by lining it with aluminum foil.
Step 4
Cut two pieces of foil, each about 14 inches long, and fold them to fit the width of the pan.
Step 5
Place one piece in the pan to cover the bottom and two sides, then use the second piece to create a cross, covering the remaining sides.
Step 6
Make sure to press the foil firmly into the corners and fold any excess over the edges; this will create a handy double sling for easy removal later.
Step 7
After the pecans have soaked, drain them, but don’t forget to reserve 2 ounces of the whiskey for later use.
Step 8
Next, set up a double boiler and combine the milk and dark chocolate in it.
Step 9
Place the bowl over simmering water and stir frequently with a rubber spatula until the chocolate melts into a smooth, luscious mixture—this should take about five minutes.
Step 10
Once the chocolate is melted, remove it from the heat and slowly mix in the sweetened condensed milk, stirring until everything is well combined.
Step 11
Add in the melted butter and a pinch of salt, stirring continuously to create a creamy texture.
Step 12
Finally, pour in the reserved whiskey and mix until the mixture is perfectly smooth and inviting.
Step 13
Now, pour this delightful chocolate mixture into your prepared pan, using an offset spatula to spread it evenly.
Step 14
For a beautiful finish, arrange 16 pecans on top in a grid pattern, creating 4 rows of 4 pecans each.
Step 15
Pop the pan into the refrigerator and let the fudge chill until it’s firm, which should take at least two hours.
Step 16
Once it’s set, use the foil sling to lift the fudge out of the pan and transfer it to a cutting board.
Step 17
With a sharp knife or bench scraper, cut the fudge into 16 squares, and get ready to enjoy a delicious treat that’s sure to impress!.
