Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Korean BBQ Beef Bulgogi.
Step 1
Begin by placing the thinly sliced beef in a large mixing bowl. Pour in the white cooking wine and pear juice, then sprinkle in the ground black pepper. Give it a good stir to ensure the beef is well-coated, and let it marinate for about 30 minutes. This step is crucial as it helps to tenderize the meat and infuse it with flavor.
Step 2
After the initial marination, add the soy sauce, white sugar, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, chopped green onion, and sesame seeds to the bowl. Mix everything together thoroughly, then cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or even better, overnight. The longer it marinates, the more flavorful your Bulgogi will be!
Step 3
When you're ready to cook, preheat your outdoor grill to medium-high heat. This is where the magic happens!
Step 4
Once the grill is hot, remove the beef from the marinade, discarding the marinade itself. To prevent sticking, lay a sheet of aluminum foil on the grill. Arrange the marinated beef slices on the foil, making sure they are spread out evenly. If you're using mushrooms and onion, place them on another section of the foil.
Step 5
Grill the beef slices for about 3 to 5 minutes on each side, or until they are beautifully browned and cooked to your liking. The aroma will be irresistible!
Step 6
Serve your delicious Bulgogi hot off the grill, accompanied by the grilled mushrooms and onions. This dish pairs wonderfully with steamed rice or lettuce wraps for a delightful meal.
