Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Loaded Baked Beans with Bacon and Cheese.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375Ā°F (190Ā°C).
Step 2
In a large nonstick skillet, cook the chopped bacon over medium heat until it becomes crispy. Once done, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess fat, leaving about 3 tablespoons of bacon fat in the skillet.
Step 3
Add the chopped onion and green bell pepper to the skillet. SautƩ for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
Step 4
Stir in the B&MĀ® Original Baked Beans, Joan of ArcĀ® Dark Red Kidney Beans, Joan of ArcĀ® Spicy Chili Beans, BBQ sauce, and half of the cooked bacon. Bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 5
Transfer the bean mixture to a 1 1/2-quart baking dish. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, or until the beans are bubbling.
Step 6
After 20 minutes, remove the foil and sprinkle the shredded Cheddar cheese and the reserved bacon on top. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Step 7
Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
