Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Loaded Poutine Pizza.
Step 1
Start by placing the flour in a large mixing bowl. In a separate cup, whisk together the lukewarm water, egg, instant yeast, and sugar until well combined. Create a well in the center of the flour and pour in the yeast mixture. Stir everything together until a smooth dough forms, adding a little extra flour or water if necessary to achieve the right consistency. Cover the bowl with a towel and let it rise in a warm spot until it doubles in size, which should take about 30 minutes.
Step 2
While the dough is rising, preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the frozen French fries in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake them in the preheated oven until they turn golden brown, which will take around 20 minutes. Once done, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
Step 3
Next, heat a large skillet over medium heat and fry the chopped bacon until it’s crispy and browned, about 5 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
Step 4
Now, grab a round pizza pan and spray it with cooking spray to prevent sticking. Punch down the risen dough and flatten it out onto the pizza pan. If you want a stuffed crust, sprinkle about 1/4 cup of the shredded Mexican cheese blend around the edge of the dough, then roll the dough inward over the cheese and pinch it to seal.
Step 5
Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over the dough, then layer the crispy fries on top. Drizzle the beef gravy over the fries, ensuring they are well covered. Finish by sprinkling the remaining Mexican cheese blend and the crispy bacon pieces evenly over the pizza.
Step 6
Bake the pizza in the oven until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown, which should take about 20 minutes. Once it’s done, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy your delicious Loaded Poutine Pizza!
