Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Molasses Oatmeal White Chocolate Cookies.
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine the flour, oats, ginger, cinnamon, baking soda, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, use a stand mixer with the paddle attachment (or an electric mixer) to cream the butter and brown sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
Step 3
Add the molasses, egg, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, beating on medium speed until fully combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula to ensure all ingredients are incorporated.
Step 4
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until just combined.
Step 5
Gently fold in the white chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Step 6
Shape the dough into a thick disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to firm up.
Step 7
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Shape the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and roll them in granulated sugar before placing them 2 inches apart on baking sheets lined with parchment paper.
Step 8
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies begin to brown. Remove from the oven and let cool on wire racks.
