Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease 18 standard-sized muffin cups or line them with paper liners.
Step 2
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, white sugar, brown sugar, cocoa powder, ground cinnamon, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
Step 3
In a separate bowl, mix the pumpkin puree, avocado oil, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth and fully combined.
Step 4
Pour the pumpkin mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix. Fold in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
Step 5
Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 full to achieve a nice rounded top.
Step 6
Bake in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
Step 7
Allow the muffins to cool in the tins for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool for an additional 10 minutes.
Step 8
If desired, dust the warm muffins lightly with powdered sugar before serving.
