Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Crescent Reuben Bake.
Step 1
Start by preheating your oven to a cozy 375°F (190°C) and greasing an 8x8-inch baking dish to ensure your delicious creation doesn’t stick.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, take your drained sauerkraut and mix it together with Thousand Island dressing until everything is well combined and flavorful.
Step 3
Next, unroll the crescent roll dough and cut it in half.
Step 4
Take one half and place it on a floured surface, pinching the perforations to create a smooth, solid sheet.
Step 5
Roll this dough out to about 12 inches square, then gently fit it into your prepared baking dish, creating a lovely base for your dish.
Step 6
For the second half of the dough, pinch the perforations closed, roll it out to roughly 9 inches square, and set it aside for later.
Step 7
Now, it’s time to give that crust a head start! Pre-bake the dough in the oven for about 8 to 10 minutes, or until it’s lightly golden brown.
Step 8
Once it’s done, take it out and layer 4 slices of Swiss cheese right on the bottom of the crust, creating a cheesy foundation.
Step 9
Next, pile on the corned beef, followed by that tasty sauerkraut mixture you prepared earlier.
Step 10
Top it all off with the remaining 4 slices of Swiss cheese, adding even more melty goodness.
Step 11
Carefully lay the second sheet of crescent roll dough over the filled baking dish, pressing down the edges to seal in all those delicious flavors.
Step 12
For a lovely golden finish, brush the top with a beaten egg white.
Step 13
Now, pop it back into the oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is beautifully melted and the crust is a delightful golden brown.
Step 14
Once it’s out of the oven, let it stand for about 5 minutes to cool slightly before slicing into it and serving.
Step 15
Enjoy this comforting dish that’s sure to bring smiles to the table!.
