Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Savory Frittata with Swiss Chard and Tomatoes.
Step 1
Preheat the oven's broiler and position the oven rack in the upper third of the oven.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs and egg whites until smooth. Whisk in the parsley, 1/4 teaspoon of salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper until well combined; set aside.
Step 3
Heat the olive oil in a 10-inch cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, seasoning with 1/4 teaspoon of salt and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Stir in the halved grape tomatoes and cook for an additional minute. Then, add the cooked Swiss chard and stir until heated through.
Step 5
Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables in the skillet. Cover and cook until the edges of the frittata begin to set, about 5 minutes.
Step 6
Remove the cover and sprinkle the top with grated Parmesan cheese. Broil in the preheated oven until the cheese is golden brown and the center of the frittata is set, about 2 minutes.
Step 7
Take the frittata out of the oven and let it stand for 3 minutes before slicing and serving.
