Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Scandinavian Pear Tart Dessert.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Lightly coat a 9-inch fluted tart pan with cooking spray.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine the white sugar and softened butter. Beat them together until the mixture is crumbly. Gradually mix in the all-purpose flour and finely chopped almonds until well combined.
Step 3
Press the mixture evenly over the bottom and up the sides of the prepared tart pan to form the crust.
Step 4
In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add in the sugar, egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended. Spread this cream cheese mixture over the crust.
Step 5
Arrange the pear slices neatly over the cream cheese layer.
Step 6
In a small bowl, mix together some sugar, cardamom, and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the pear slices.
Step 7
Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 10 minutes. Then, reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking until the filling is set and an instant-read thermometer inserted into the center reads 160°F (71°C), about 15 to 20 minutes more.
Step 8
Once baked, allow the tart to cool on a wire rack for 1 hour. Then, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing and serving.
