Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Slow Cooker Philly Shredded Beef Sliders.
Step 1
Begin by generously seasoning both sides of the chuck roast with a teaspoon of seasoned salt, ensuring every inch is flavorful.
Step 2
In your slow cooker, set it to Low and create a cozy bed with the onion slices, saving a few for later.
Step 3
Heat a splash of cooking oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until it shimmers invitingly.
Step 4
Sear the seasoned roast in the hot oil for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side, allowing it to develop a beautiful brown crust.
Step 5
Once browned, nestle the roast atop the onion slices in the slow cooker.
Step 6
Pour the undiluted beef consomme and Worcestershire sauce over the roast, then gently layer the reserved onion slices on top.
Step 7
Cover the slow cooker and let it work its magic on Low for 8 to 10 hours, or until the beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender.
Step 8
When the time is up, carefully lift the beef from the slow cooker and place it on a cutting board.
Step 9
Using two forks, shred the meat, discarding any unwanted fat and membranes.
Step 10
Return the warm, shredded beef to the slow cooker to keep it cozy.
Step 11
In a separate nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
Step 12
Open the slider buns and lay them cut-side down in the skillet, toasting for 2 to 3 minutes until they turn a lovely golden brown, adding more butter as needed for the remaining buns.
Step 13
On each toasted bun half, place a slice of Provolone cheese, followed by about 1/3 cup of shredded beef, making sure to squeeze out any excess liquid.
Step 14
Top with the cooked onions as desired, then crown with the top half of the buns.
Step 15
Serve these delightful creations warm, and watch them disappear!.
