Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Smoked Tomato Salsa.
Step 1
Preheat your smoker to 225°F (110°C) and add wood chips according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Step 2
In a disposable foil pan, combine the halved tomatoes, quartered onion, halved jalapeno, and peeled garlic. Place the pan on the smoker rack.
Step 3
Smoke the vegetables for about 90 minutes, allowing them to absorb the smoky flavor.
Step 4
Once smoked, transfer the vegetables to a food processor or blender. Add the chopped cilantro, lime juice, and a pinch of salt.
Step 5
Pulse the mixture several times until the vegetables are finely chopped, but be careful not to over-process.
Step 6
Serve the salsa at room temperature or refrigerate it for a while to let the flavors meld together.
