Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make BBQ Meatball Sliders with Tangy Sauce.
Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare a baking rack by spraying it with nonstick cooking spray and placing it on a foil-lined baking pan.
Step 2
In a large saucepan, heat oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for about 3 minutes until softened. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
Step 3
Add the ketchup, molasses, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, hot sauce, and cayenne pepper to the saucepan. Mix well and bring the mixture to a boil, stirring frequently. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium-low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. If the sauce thickens too much, add a little water to reach your desired consistency.
Step 4
While the sauce simmers, combine the ground beef, ground pork, bread crumbs, milk, egg, mustard, steak seasoning, and minced garlic in a large bowl. Mix until well combined.
Step 5
Using a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop, form the meat mixture into balls about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. Place the meatballs on the prepared baking rack, ensuring they are spaced apart for even cooking.
Step 6
Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
Step 7
Once cooked, gently stir the meatballs into the BBQ sauce and let them simmer for an additional 10 to 15 minutes until heated through.
Step 8
Serve the saucy meatballs on slider buns, and enjoy your delicious BBQ meatball sliders!
