Cooking Instructions
Follow our step-by-step guide on how to make Creamy Shrimp Pasta Salad with Dill.
Step 1
In a cast iron skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook until they turn bright pink and the meat is opaque, about 5 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the shrimp to a bowl of cold water to cool for at least 10 minutes.
Step 2
While the shrimp cool, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add the ditalini pasta and cook, stirring occasionally, until al dente, about 10 to 11 minutes. Drain the pasta and set aside.
Step 3
Peel and devein the cooled shrimp, then chop them into bite-sized pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, drained pasta, mayonnaise, sour cream, peas, sliced celery, diced red onion, lemon juice, dill weed, sugar, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
Step 4
Taste and adjust the seasonings as needed. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
