Step 1
Start by grabbing a mixing bowl and combine the mascarpone cheese, white sugar, vanilla extract, and egg yolk. Beat them together until the mixture is light and creamy, creating a luscious base for your dessert. This is where the magic begins!
Step 2
Next, take your Twinkies and slice them in half lengthwise, then cut each half into quarters. You’ll end up with delightful little pieces that will soak up all the flavors. Now, press two of these cake pieces into the bottom of a large coffee mug, cream-side down, creating a cozy little base. Then, line the inside of the mug with four more pieces, standing them up around the sides. Repeat this process with a second mug, because who wouldn’t want to share this treat?
Step 3
Now it’s time to add some pizzazz! Drizzle 2 tablespoons of coffee liqueur over the sponge cake in each mug, letting it soak in and infuse the flavors.
